In close collaboration with the head of the Anesthesia Service of Shriners Hospitals for Children-Canada and under the direct supervision of the Assistant to the Chief of Staff – Clinico-Administrative component, the Planning, Programming & Research Agent (APPR) will participate in the development and implementation of projects and actions aimed at continuous improvement in the quality of care and excellence of practices offered in the Anesthesia Service. The successful candidate will lead high-impact projects that integrate evidence-based practices with innovative engagement strategies, ensuring measurable improvements in patient outcomes and visibility of the anesthesia services of Shriners Hospitals. The APPR oversees the design, execution, and evaluation of strategic initiatives aimed at improving clinical quality, enhancing patient and family centered care, and expanding educational outreach. The APPR summarizes and communicates updates and provides information on the status of the various projects to the Assistant to the Chief of Staff – Clinico-Administrative component and the head of Anesthesia Services. The APPR prepares and analyzes data, reviews required documentation, coordinates stages of the projects, and ensures that they comply with applicable standards, laws, and regulations. The APPR leverages advanced expertise in pediatric research coordination, multi-center collaborations with internal and external partners, including in Northern Europe, education, and digital communications. Upon agreement with the immediate supervisor, a hybrid work model may be possible.
